61 71 061 Replacing fluid reservoir for windshield washer system (M3, M3 CSL)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Drain fluid reservoir for windshield washer system
Remove front bumper, refer to 51 11 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COMPLETE FRONT BUMPER (M3, M3 CSL)
If necessary, remove right front fog lamp, refer to 63 17 030 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LEFT OR RIGHT FOGLAMP INSERT (M/AERODYNAMICS PACKAGE)

Unlock plug connections and disconnect.

Unhook wiring harness (5) from mounting (4).

Turn windshield washer pump (3) in direction of arrow, lift out of fluid reservoir for windshield washer system and place to one side.

Turn level switch for windshield washer system (2) in direction of arrow, remove downwards from fluid reservoir for windshield washer system and place to one side.

Version with headlight cleaning system:

Turn washer pump of headlight cleaning system (1) in direction of arrow, lift out of fluid reservoir for windshield washer system and place to one side.

NOTE: Shown without fanfare horn for purposes of clarity.

Release screws (1) and remove fluid reservoir for windshield washer system (2) in direction of arrow.

Installation:

Make sure hoses are laid without kinks.
