Removing The Outer Section Of The A-Pillar

Preliminary work

Refer to SUPPLYING THE NEW PARTS REQUIRED .

Mark and carry out the separating cut (1) as per dimension a. Thereby disconnect only the outer panel. Dimension a = 67 mm from the center of the hole with Ø 20 mm.
Open welded connections in area (2).

Mark the separating cut (1) as shown and carry it out. Disconnect only the outer panel.
Open welded connections in area (2).

Release the spot-welded adhesive joints in area (3).

Release adhesive bonds in areas (1).
Release the outer section of the A-pillar from the cavity sealing (2) and remove.
