Before first working on the DSCi brake (integrated brake), the "DSCi" web-based training must be passed successfully
The "DSCi" web-based training is started in the Learning Management System (TMSi)

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Before removing the hydraulic unit, the vehicle battery must be disconnected without fail!
The vehicle battery must never be connected during a repair!
Otherwise a brake bleeding procedure must be carried out after the repair
For ADDITIONAL INFORMATION : see 34 00... Brake bleeding procedure
The vehicle battery may only be reconnected when the brake system is completely filled with brake fluid and vented!

Preliminary work

Refer to DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY GROUND LEADS .

Disconnect plug connection (1)
Remove the cable clip (2)

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Do not interchange brake lines. Mark the brake lines before disassembly (for example, VL/VR/HR/HL)
Do not bend brake lines
Close off connecting bores with seal plugs

(1) Unfasten brake lines

Retract release tool 2 409 646 between brake pedal and brake booster
Place support (1) of the special tool (release tool) 2 409 646 on the bearing bracket. If necessary, position the support (1) permanently by turning the screws on the special tool

Push the special tool 2 409 646 in arrow direction and lever the brake pedal away from the brake booster
