Installing The Tailgate
NOTE:

- Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
- Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.
- Position the tailgate on the tailgate hinges.
- Tighten the screws (3) on the left and right at the tailgate hinges.TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Tailgate hinge on trunk lid Hexagon screw, M8x18 Tightening torque 19 Nm - Carefully close the tailgate and check for bodywork contact.
If necessary, position the tailgate again.
- Secure the tailgate from closing.
- Position the ground cable (2) on the hinge and tighten the nut (1).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Ground cable to tailgate hinge Nut M5 Tightening torque 4.5 Nm - Feed in the wiring harnesses (1) into the tailgate.
- Mount the nozzles (2) on the tailgate. Ensure a correct installation position while doing so (watertightness).
- Attach the wiring harnesses (1) to all the attachment points (arrows) on the tailgate.
- Connect all the plug connections of the wiring harnesses (1) to the tailgate and lock them.
