Installing the gas pressure spring for tailgate

CAUTION: Shutting hood or trunk lid.
Injury hazard!

Support hood/trunk lid in fully open position with the aid of a suitable device.

Install the gas pressure spring (3) and fit it with the ball socket (2) on the ball hub and engage it with force.
Check the clamp (1) is fitted correctly.
