Adjusting The Left And Right Tailgate Hinge

• Check the gap dimensions (arrows) between trunk lid and side panels.

  Measure

• Adjust tailgate hinge.
  NOTE: To provide a better overview: Schematic diagram with partially hidden components.
  NOTE: Perform the steps on the right and left side.

• Slacken nuts (1) until the tailgate hinge (2) can be shifted.
• Shift tailgate hinge (2) horizontally until the tailgate has the predefined gap dimension from the side panel.
• Tighten nuts (1).
  TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
  
  

  Tailgate hinge to body
  Nut M8
  	tightening torque	19 Nm

  NOTE: Perform the steps on the right and left side.
• Slacken nut (1) until the tailgate hinge (2) can be shifted,
• Shift the hinge arm vertically until the tailgate has the predefined gap dimension from the side panel,
• Tighten nut (1).
  TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

  Nut
  	Tightening torque	19 Nm
