Install left and right rear side trim panel

Install rear trim panel 

• Check whether the clips (1) are present and have damage.

  Damaged or missing clips (1) must be replaced.

• Install the side trim panel and in this process insert the safety belt.
• Connect all connectors (1)  and lock.

• Position side trim panel (1)  correctly and guide it into the edge protection carefully.
• Clip side trim panel (1)  into clamps (2)  .
• Clip side trim panel (1)  into clips (3)  .

• Tighten screws (1)  and (2)  .
  TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
  
  

  Side finisher panel, rear
  Cheese head screw (sheet metal screw)	Tightening torque	3.2 Nm
  M6x25 screw	Tightening torque	3.2 Nm

• Tighten down screw (1)  .

• Tighten down screw (1).

  Installing seat belt extender hand 

  NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION 
  Clean all threaded belt connections  with micro-encapsulated outer and internal threads.
  Shavings or other debris must not remain in the components.
  If a microencapsulated screw is reused, it must be coated with the following screw locking agent: Loctite 243, medium strength  .
  The screw connection must be completed within 10 minutes as hardening begins after this period.
  NOTE: To provide a better overview: Schematic diagram with partially hidden components.
• Thread the shoulder belt (3)  Into the seat belt extender hand (1)  .
• Carefully feed the seat belt extender hand (1)  Into the seat belt extender (2)  In the arrow direction.

  Installing the front strap fitting 

  NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION 
  Clean all threaded belt connections  with micro-encapsulated outer and internal threads.
  Shavings or other debris must not remain in the components.
  If a microencapsulated screw is reused, it must be coated with the following screw locking agent: Loctite 243, medium strength. 
  The screw connection must be completed within 10 minutes as hardening begins after this period.
• Clip in the cover (2)  of the seat belt end fitting (3)  in arrow direction in the seat belt end fitting (3)  .
• Slide the sleeve (1)  in the cover (2)  of the seat belt end fitting (3)  .

• Position the seat belt end fitting correctly.
• Tighten down screw (2)  .
• Clip in the cover cap (1)  .

• Install rear trim panel 

• Check clamps (1)  for damage; replace if necessary.
• Check the clips (2)  for damage and replace where required.

• Connect and lock all the connectors at the rear side trim panel (1)  of the wiring harness and disconnect it.
• Insert upper seat belt (5)  .
• Position the rear side trim panel (1)  and clip at the clamps (4)  .
• Clip in the rear side trim panel (1)  at the clips (3)  .
• Clip in the rear side trim panel (1)  at the clamps (2)  .

• Clip in the cover (2)  of the strap fitting (3)  to the strap fitting (3)  .
• Slide the sleeve (1)  in the cover (2)  of the seat belt end fitting (3)  .

• Position the seat belt end fitting correctly.
• Tighten down screw (2)  .
• Clip in the cover cap (1)  .
