- Support the headlining at the front and back
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE COVERS FOR THE INTERIOR REARVIEW MIRROR .
- Refer to REMOVING A-PILLAR TRIM PANEL, LEFT AND RIGHT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE LEFT AND RIGHT SUN VISOR .
- Refer to REMOVING COUNTER SUPPORTS FOR SUN VISOR ON LEFT AND RIGHT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT VANITY MIRROR LIGHT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE HANDS-FREE MICROPHONE LEFT AND RIGHT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE ROOF FUNCTION CENTER (FZD) .
- Refer to REMOVING THE LEFT AND RIGHT B-PILLAR TRIM PANELS PARTIALLY .
- Refer to REMOVING INTERIOR ROOF LIGHT .
- Refer to TRIM OF THE 3RD BRAKE LIGHT .
- Refer to REMOVING BOTH C-PILLAR TRIM PANELS .
- Refer to REMOVING ALL GRAB HANDLES .
Precondition
The front seats have been fully adjusted towards the bottom
The front seat backrests have been fully adjusted towards the rear

Fold the headlining
Bending of the headlining can result in the need for the headlining to be replaced
- Carry out tasks with a second person to assist
- Support the headlining at the front and back
- Unclip the headlining (1) downwards at the clips (2)
- Loosen screw (1)
- Unclip the headlining downwards at the clips (2)
- Carefully unclip the headlining (1) from the sliding/tilting sunroof case and the clamps (2) in the area of the dotted line
- Feed out the headlining (1) on the respective edge protection and place it on the seats with a support person
