Removing C-pillar trim panel
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE BACKREST SIDE SECTION WITH THE AIRBAG .
- Refer to REMOVING THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT COVER .
- Refer to REMOVING THE SEAT BELT FINISHER STRIP .
WARNING:
Airbag unit.

- Before working on the airbag, disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
- Airbag unit may only be set down with the cushion (airbag itself) facing upwards.

- All work on pyrotechnic parts may be carried out by technically experienced and appropriately trained personnel only.
- Replace any damaged part or ones that have been dropped.

- Lever out cover (1) from the C-pillar trim panel (4) using a suitable tool.
- Release screw (2) under it.
- Loosen expanding rivet (3) .
- Guide out and remove C-pillar trim panel (4) .
