Removing and installing/replacing tailgate gasket (340i GT xDrive)

Follow the notes on fitting SEALS .
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove left and right d-pillar TRIM PANEL
- Remove tail panel TOP COVER
Removal:
Detach gasket (1) starting at sealing joint (2), moving inwards.
NOTE:
Sealing joint (2) is vulcanized.
Feed out gasket (1).
Installation:
NOTE:
Part:
Replace gasket (1).
NOTE:
The gasket (1) has to be replaced, as otherwise tightness can no longer be guaranteed.
Mount gasket (1) and make sure that the sealing joint (2) is located at the position shown.
Make sure that the gasket lies correctly on the adjacent trim panel components.
Required follow-up work:
- Install left and right d-pillar TRIM PANEL
- Install top tail panel TRIM
