If the engine compartment lid is damaged (e.g. due to an accident), other components that are not visible may also be damaged.
Perform the following work if it is suspected that there may be damage that is not visible:

Perform the following work if it is suspected that there may be damage that is not visible:
- DISCONNECT HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM FROM POWER .
- Observe SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS for handling electric vehicles.
IMPORTANT:
Removal and installation of the engine compartment lid must be carried out with the assistance of a second person.
NOTE:
Observe (REPAIR STAGE 1) procedure!
Removing the engine compartment lid
Unclip spray nozzles (1).
Release hose (2) from holders (5x).
Release fixture (3) from engine compartment lid hinge and remove hose.
Unscrew nuts (1).
Remove hood.
Installing the engine compartment lid
Remount all installed parts on new part.
Install engine compartment lid at screw locations to on hinge.
Tightening torque 41 61 1AZ .
If necessary, adjust ENGINE COMPARTMENT LID .
