41 61 014 Hood Adjustment
Observe BODY GAP DIMENSIONS REP-REP-RAI0141-4106200 - V.2 .
IMPORTANT:
Do not damage adjoining body parts!
Setting the engine compartment lid laterally and in longitudinal direction:
Loosen screws (1) on hinges on left and right and adjust hood.
Tightening torque 41 61 1AZ .
Setting height of engine compartment lid:
Remove TRIM ON SIDE PANEL .
Unscrew the screws (1).
Mask off the edge of the trim with adhesive tape (1).
Slightly pull strip (2) outward and secure with a wedge.
Loosen screws (4) and adjust hood.
Tightening torque 41 61 2AZ .
NOTE:
The following tools are recommended to tighten the hinge.

| (2) | Insert Hazet 6420b | |
| (3) | Insert T40x50 | for upper screw |
| (4) | Use T40 | for lower screw |
Height adjustment on striker:
Adjust height by turning nut (1).
Height adjustment of engine compartment lid to side panel by means of STOP PAD .
NOTE:
The engine compartment lid is correctly adjusted in the front section by a combination of pulling the strikers and pressing the stop pads.
Incorrect adjustment results in either flutter of the hood or sluggish unlocking.

IMPORTANT:
Check function of safety catch.
After Installation note:
- Tighten all screws and nuts to specified torque.
- Touch up unpainted surfaces in the appropriate color.
- If necessary, adjust side panels.
