Preliminary work
- Refer to DE-ENERGIZE THE HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM .
- Refer to CHECK THAT NO VOLTAGE IS APPLIED .
- Refer to REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR COVERING .
- Refer to REMOVE SERVICE CAP IN TRUNK .
- Refer to REMOVE UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
- Refer to REMOVE WHEEL ARCH COVER .
- Refer to REMOVE COMPLETE EXHAUST SYSTEM .
- Refer to REMOVING INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING .
- Refer to REMOVE ENGINE COMPARTMENT FAN .
- Unscrew the bolts (1) and remove the exhaust bracket (2).
- Loosen screws (3).
- Lever the heat shield (4) out of the clamps (5) and remove it.
- Unclip the cable in area (1).
- Loosen screws (2).
- Turn the connector housing (1) by 45° and remove it.
- Unclip cables at the marked points (arrows).
- Unclip 4 high-voltage cables (1).
- Loosen screws (2).
- Remove the vertical strut (3).
