Removing the component carrier

- Make sure that there is no charger connected to the jump start terminal in the engine compartment.
- Detach battery ground lead from battery.
- For auxiliary batteries: Detach battery minus cables from all auxiliary batteries.

- Detach battery terminal from battery pole by carefully shifting to and fro. Do not pry off using a tool.

- Wear safety goggles and protective gloves when disconnecting the refrigerant line.
- Close the refrigerant lines with seal plugs.
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Loosen screws (2) .
- Feed out the refrigerant lines (3) and set them aside.
- Seal the refrigerant lines (1)
using commercially-available seal plug.
- Loosen screws (1) .
- Feed out and remove the air conditioning compressor (2)
.
- Seal the openings (1)
on the air conditioning compressor (2)
with commercially-available seal plug.
- Unlock and loosen coolant line (1) .
- Catch and dispose of escaping coolant.
- Loosen screws (1) .
- Feed out the engine holder (2)
and transmission oil line and put to one side.
- Loosen screws (1)

- Loosen screws (1)
.
- Feed out function carrier (1) from the connecting pipe (2) and remove.
- Catch and dispose of escaping coolant.
