Installing tail light on left and right side panel

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Install the tail light on the side panel

Check seal (1) on the rear light (2) for damage and replace if necessary.

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The thread is a left-hand thread.

Both adjusting elements (1) on the rear light (2) must be in the screwed in position.

Result

» Adjusting elements (1) are not in the screwed in position.

Measure

Screw in adjusting elements (1) counterclockwise.

Connect the connector (1) to the tail light (2).
The connector must engage audibly.
Lock the lock (3) in direction of arrow.

Position rear light (1) on the side panel (2).

Fold up the sound insulation (1) and start threading the underlying nut.

Position rear light (1) to the front (arrow).
Move the contact surfaces (2) of the rear light (1) upwards (arrow) to contact.
Hold rear light (1) in position.

Fold up the sound insulation (1) and tighten the underlying nut.

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Tail light to side panel
Nut	tightening torque	3 Nm

Align the rear light (1) to the connection line (2).

Tighten down screws (3).

Screw	tightening torque	3.6 Nm

Position the cover panel of the water channel (1) and clip in arrow direction.
