Preliminary work

- Wear safety goggles and cut-resistant protective gloves.
- Disconnect plug connection (1).
- Loosen screws (1).
- Disconnect plug connection (2).
- Unclip the cable out of the cable brackets (3).
- Separate the rear window with a suitable tool (for example, a special cutter with an oscillating knife or special tool 0 410 807).
- Remove all glass splinters (also under the seats).
- Check the safety belts:
- Condition of belt strap
- Function of the roll-up mechanism
- Seat belt locking reel
- seat belt buckle
Replace any damaged or defective parts.
