Removing the center console
Preliminary work
- Refer to DEACTIVATING THE 48 V ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Refer to DEACTIVATE VEHICLE-SPECIFIC HIGH-VOLTAGE OR LOW-VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Refer to REMOVING THE REAR CENTER CONSOLE TRIM .
- Refer to REMOVING THE CARPET ON THE CENTER CONSOLE ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDES .
- Refer to PARTIALLY REMOVING THE STORAGE COMPARTMENT OF THE CENTER ARMREST .

- Protect working area.
- Handle tools and components carefully.
- Only for G07:
- Remove the inserts from the cup holder (2).
- Loosen screws (1).
- Pull the cup holder (2) to the rear and release at front clamps.
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connections and remove the cup holder (2).
- Only for G07:
- Loosen screws (1).
- Guide out the mount (2) for the cup holder and remove it.
- Loosen screws (1).
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Remove the plug connection (1) from the bracket.
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.NOTE: Perform the steps on the right and left side.
- Loosen nut (1).
- Loosen screws (2).
- Unlock the plug connection (1) on the right at the center console and disconnect it.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Conduct the following operation with the assistance of a second person. - Lift the center console (1) at the rear and carefully guide it out backward a little. While doing so, pull the remaining cables out of the center console.
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (2) of the Head Unit High (HU-H).
- Remove center console (1).
