- Any work must exclusively be carried out with an exhaust system that has cooled down.
NOTE:
RISK OF DAMAGE
Damage to the gasoline particulate filter .
Forcibly removing, installing or dropping the gasoline particulate filter down will damage it .

Forcibly removing, installing or dropping the gasoline particulate filter down will damage it .
- Remove and install the gasoline particulate filter without damaging it and without applying external force.
- Avoid impacts/knocks to the gasoline particulate filter (e.g. by tools, falling down, hard contact with base).
- Replace gasket on exhaust turbocharger.

- Guide in and install the catalytic converter (1) for cylinders 1 to 4 in the arrow direction.
- Connect the catalytic converter (1) for cylinders 1 to 4 to the exhaust gas turbocharger.
- Equipment specification with gasoline particulate filter:
Position the catalytic converter (1) for the cylinders 1 to 4 in holder (2).
- If necessary, replace clamp (1).

- Mount and tighten clamp (1).
The circlip must be mounted with the screw connection on the inside.

- Guide in and install the catalytic converter (1) for cylinders 5 to 8 in the arrow direction.
- Connect the catalytic converter (1) for cylinders 5 to 8 to the exhaust turbocharger.
- Replace the clamps (1).

- Mount and tighten circlips (1).
The circlips must be mounted with the screw connection on the inside.

Catalytic converter on cylinder head/cylinder head cover/holder M8x20 tightening torque 21 Nm - Feed in left heat shield (2) and connect to the other heat shields.
- Tighten top screw (1) heat shield.TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Heat protection plate M6x16 tightening torque 10 Nm - Connect heat shield (2) with the lower heat shield.
- Tighten bottom screw (1) heat shield.TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
