Checking/Topping up the transfer box oil (Active Torque Control 13-1)
NOTE:

- Use only the BMW approved transmission oil. See the Fluid Capacities tab for the selected vehicle.
- Check the transmission oil level after completing the repair.
- Open the oil filler plug (1).
- Check the transmission oil level on the transfer box (VTG).
- If necessary, top up transmission oil with the special tool 0 493 337 (00 2 080) up to the lower edge of the opening for the oil filler plug.
