Placing the brake pads on the brake disk/putting them into operation
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
After a brake pad exchange and before pressing the brake pedal: It is imperative to apply the electromechanical parking brake.
If this is not observed, a CC message appears and the brake system switches to the emergency program. The brake booster is no longer active.
After a brake pad exchange and before pressing the brake pedal: It is imperative to apply the electromechanical parking brake.
If this is not observed, a CC message appears and the brake system switches to the emergency program. The brake booster is no longer active.
- Operate/engage electromechanical parking brake (1).
- Depress the brake pedal (1) several times so that the brake pads are in contact with the brake disks.

- Refer to INSTALLING THE FRONT LEFT AND RIGHT WHEELS .
- Refer to COMMISSIONING/BEDDING IN (BRAKE) NEW BRAKE PADS AND BRAKE DISCS .
- Refer to PERFORM THE CBS RESET .
