Checking internal engine pressure
Preliminary work
- Refer to CHECKING/IF NECESSARY TOPPING UP ENGINE OIL LEVEL WITH DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM .
- Refer to REMOVING THE OIL FILLER CAP .
- Insert special tool 0 496 326 (11 9 880) into the opening of the oil filler neck (2) and screw in hand-tight.
- Connect a standard connection hose (1) with the special tool.

connect to the connection hose (1).

Connect with measuring technique.
- Start engine and run at idle speed.
- Measure the internal engine pressure with measuring technique.
- Connect vehicle diagnosis system via an appropriate scan tool and observe the diagnosis instructions for pressure testing.

- Engine electronics
- Crankcase pressure measurement
- Stop engine.

Disconnect from connection hose (1).
- Remove special tool 0 496 326 (11 9 880) from the oil filler neck opening (2).
