Removing the intake plenum

- Conduct all work in the vehicle wearing appropriate personal protective equipment only.

- Make sure that there is no charger connected to the jump start terminal in the engine compartment.
- Detach battery ground lead from battery.
- For auxiliary batteries: Detach battery minus cables from all auxiliary batteries.

- Unclip tank vent line (1) in the marked area.
- Unlock and detach engine ventilation line (2).
- Unscrew the bolt (3) and unclip the tank vent line (4)
- In the marked area.
- Remove tank vent line (4).
- Unscrew the bolts (5) and set the engine wiring harness aside.
- Unclip cable (6) in marked areas.
- Loosen tank vent line (1) in marked area from intake plenum.
- Unlock closure (2) and detach the coolant line.
- Unlock and disconnect connector (1).
- Unclip the wiring harness in the marked areas.
- Loosen screws (8).
- Loosen screws in the order (7) to (1).
- Slightly raise air intake header.
- Unlock the closure (1) and detach the coolant feed line.
- Unlock the closure (2) and detach the coolant return line.
- Unclip the wiring harness from the clamp (3).NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION Additional coolant can leakage. Make sure that no coolant enters the intake port of the cylinder head.
- Remove intake plenum.
