Removing the tailgate lock

Preliminary work 

• Remove the luggage compartment floor COVERING .
• Remove both flaps in the luggage compartment TRIM PANEL .
• Remove WARNING TRIANGLE. .
• Remove both lower d-pillar TRIM PANELS .
• Partially detach the rear luggage COMPARTMENT WELL .
• Remove the loading EDGE TRIM ..

• Detach the Bowden cable (1).
• Disconnect the plug connection (2).
• Release the screws (3) and remove trunk lid lock (4).
