Bonding surfaces must be dry and free of dust and grease. After the adhesive area has been cleaned, it must no longer be taped with bare hands.

- Remove the adhesive bead (1) from the side window glass (2) and the body with a scraper.
- If applicable, remove protruding centering pins from the side window glass (2) and the body.
- Replace the damaged hook and loop tape (Dual Lock tape) (3) on the side window glass (2) and the body.
- Secure the special tool 0 492 609 (51 3 010) on the side window (lightly moisten the suction lifters).
- Clean the bonding surfaces on the side window (2) and the body.
- Apply the adhesive bead (1).
- For reuse of the side window glass, apply the adhesive bead to the cut back adhesive bead of the side window glass.
- For use of a new side window glass, apply the adhesive bead on the cut back adhesive bead of the body.
- Insert the side window glass (1) with the special tool 0 492 609 (51 3 010) and align it to the body.
The seal (2) must rest evenly and parallel to the roof.
- Engage the side window (1) in the Velcro fastener (Dual Lock tape).
- Secure the side window (1) with the yellow plastic adhesive tape on the body.
- Connect the plug connection (1).
