- Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.
- Position special tool 0 496 171 (11 9 811)
with a standard
5 mm thick washer between the crankcase and the flywheel.
The 5 mm thick washer must be installed between the crankcase and the special tool 0 496 171 (11 9 811) .
- Fix the special tool 0 494 793 (11 9 265) with the transmission bolt (1) .
- Protect the flywheel from falling.
- Unscrew flywheel bolts (1) to (8) .
- Guide out the flywheel and remove.
NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Electrostatic discharge .
Damage to or destruction of electrical components .- Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
- Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
- Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
- Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

- Feed out the pulse wheel (1) and remove.
- Protect the pulse wheel (1) in a plastic bag from shavings.
- The pulse wheel (1) is magnetic, place the pulse wheel (1) in the correct position.
