61 31 043 Removing and installing roof switch centre
Special tools required:
- 00 9 325
Attention!
OBSERVE THE NOTES FOR HANDLING BULBS (INTERIOR LIGHTING) .
Attention!
Observe the notes on protection against electrostatic damage (ESD PROTECTION) .
Removal:
Carefully unclip and remove the trim (1) using special tool 00 9 325.
Unlock the left/right retaining lugs using a screwdriver in direction of the arrow.
Remove roof switch cluster (1) from headlining (2).
Unlock and disconnect associated connector.
Installation:
Connect associated connector.
Attach roof switch cluster (1) to the headlining (2).
Installation note:
The left/right retaining lugs must not be damaged.
The left/right retaining lugs must audibly snap into place.
Make sure the roof switch cluster (1) is correctly seated.
If necessary, INITIALIZE the slide/tilt sunroof.
Installation note:
None of the retaining lugs and guides on the trim (1) may be damaged or missing.
Carefully engage the trim (1) into the roof switch cluster.
Attention!
Disconnecting the plug connection for the emergency call button results in fault code entries in the telephone control unit (restriction in the emergency call system).
After installation, read out the fault memory and, if necessary, delete the fault code entry.
