11 41 000 Removing and installing or replacing oil/vacuum pump (B48AO0)
IMPORTANT:
It is possible to remove and install the oil/vacuum pump without
removing the transmission.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove OIL SUMP
REMOVAL:
Release screws (1) of oil/vacuum pump (2).
Remove oil/vacuum pump (1) and feed out of drive chain (2).
Replacement:
Release screws (1). Remount intake pipe (2).
Tighten down screws (1).
Tightening torque: 11 41 1AZ .
Replacement:
IMPORTANT:
Pay attention to mounting flats on oil pump (see arrow).
Labelling "Front" on the camshaft sprocket (1) needs to be visible.
Labelling "Front" on the camshaft sprocket (1) needs to be visible.
Replacement:
IMPORTANT:
Screw (1) has left-hand thread.
"Front" needs to be legible on the camshaft sprocket.
"Front" needs to be legible on the camshaft sprocket.
Hold down camshaft sprocket (2) with a suitable tool. Release screw (1). Remount camshaft sprocket.
Parts: Replace screw (1).
Mount camshaft sprocket (2) and hold down with a suitable tool. Tighten screw (1).
Tightening torque: 11 41 5AZ .
INSTALLATION:
IMPORTANT:
Sealing ring (1) must not be damaged or missing.
Check centering bushes for damage, replace if necessary.
Feed oil/vacuum pump (1) into drive chain (2).
Tighten down screws (1) of oil/vacuum pump (2).
Tightening torque: 11 41 2AZ .
Required follow-up work:
- Install OIL SUMP
