Installing the brush module
- Position part B on part A of the special tool 5 A3B 919.
- Store the special tool 5 A3B 919
on a solid, clean surface (as depicted).
- Position the brush module (1) on the special tool 5 A3B 919 (as depicted) and put it down to the stop

Threaded connection for the excitation cable is pointing downward .
All six carbon brushes must be in firm contact with the special tool 5 A3B 919 (part A).
- Detach part B from the special tool 5 A3B 919
.
- Turn around the brush module (2)

Threaded connection for the excitation cable is pointing upward .
- Position the brush module (2) on the rotor shaft (1) all the way to the stop.
- Brace the brush module (2)
and remove the special tool 5 A3B 919
(part A).
- Position the excitation cable (1) as depicted.
- Tighten the screws (2) .
