When replacing and removing components which rely on the corrosion protection effect of the coolant, it is essential to change the coolant. The cooling system must therefore be emptied and refilled
In the case of other removal work involving the draining of part quantities of coolant, the coolant level must be topped up with new coolant

- Variant with rear wheel drive:
Unlock the coolant line (1) and detach it from the coolant expansion tank (2) of the low-temperature coolant circuit
- Variant with all-wheel drive:
Unlock the coolant line (2) with a standard screwdriver (1) and disconnect it
- Loosen screws (1)
- Unlock and remove the coolant line (1)
- Release the tank vent line (2) from the holder (3)
- Pull out the coolant expansion tank (1) of the low-temperature coolant circuit from the rubber mount (2), feed it out and remove it
