Removing and installing (replacing) front bumper panel (2016-2022)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

IMPORTANT: If the high-pressure nozzles are not disassembled, the high-pressure nozzles may be damaged when the bumper panel is disassembled.

Removal:

Remove gasket (1).

Release screws (1).

Unlock plug connection (1) for outside temperature sensor and disconnect.

Release screws (1) on left/right.

NOTE: The following tasks must be carried out with a second person assisting:

Pull off bumper panel (1) forwards from the retaining clasps (2) and remove.

Replacement:

NOTE: Ensure correct fit of the guide (1) on the bumper panel and the corresponding counterpiece on the body.

Pull out the support (1) downwards and insert it into the first latch mechanism from above.

NOTE: The following tasks must be carried out with a second person assisting:
Engage the bumper panel (1) correctly in every retaining clasp (2).

Tighten down screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 11 1AZ .
