Removing the frame of the rear seat backrest
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR COVERING .
- Refer to REMOVING REAR SEAT BENCH .
- Refer to REMOVING REAR SEAT BACKREST .
- Unclip the edge stripping of the backrest covering in the marked area using the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325) .
- Remove the rear panel (1).
- Carefully pull the backrest covering (1) over the attachment points of the backrest frame (2).
- Remove the backrest covering (1) from the backrest frame (3) and unlock and disconnect plug connections as necessary.
