Replacing speaker trim on rear door trim panel

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING REAR DOOR TRIM .
• Refer to REMOVING TRIM FOR SIDE WINDOW OPERATION ROCKER SWITCH .

• Release acoustic fleece (1) in area of front speaker trim.

• Open welded connections (1) of speaker trim with a suitable tool.

• Tape off the armrest (1) of the rear door trim panel in the areas (2) with adhesive tape and protect against damage.

• Carefully remove the speaker trim (1) from the door trim panel.

  The armrest must not be damaged during the removal of the speaker trim (1).

• Remove welding residues (1) on the door trim panel with a scalpel.

• Replace the speaker trim.

  Parts:  Speaker trim

• Saw off welding pins (1) on the new speaker trim along the molding (2).

• Carefully install the speaker trim (1) in the door trim panel.

  The armrest must not be damaged during the installation of the speaker trim (1).

• Fasten the welding pins (1) of the speaker trim with the clamp shown (2).

• Remove adhesive tape (2) from armrest (1).

• Install acoustic fleece (1).
