Remove the soft top mechanism

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Preliminary work

Slightly lift the retaining clip (1) and unclip the hydraulic cylinder (2).
Unclip the brackets for the respective hydraulic lines from the convertible top compartment lid hinge and remove the hydraulic cylinder.

Loosen screw (1).
Unclip and pull out the Bowden cable (2).

Unclip the Bowden cable for the convertible top compartment lid release (1) on the convertible top compartment lid mechanism (2).

Loosen screws (1).
Remove the angle bracket (2).
Unlock plug connection (3) and disconnect.

Mark the position of the convertible top compartment lid mechanism (1) on the bodywork.
Release the screws (2) and remove the convertible top compartment lid mechanism.
