Installing the hydraulic cylinder for the convertible top compartment lid

• Protect the working area from escaping hydraulic fluid.
• Check the seal (1) of the hydraulic line (2) for correct fit and damage, and replace it if necessary.

  NOTE: Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.
• Position the hydraulic lines (2) on the hydraulic cylinder (3).
• Slide the locking plates (1) on from the outside, and lock them.

• Mount the cable tie (1) at a distance of (x) 90mm from the piston rod side.
• Make sure the lock of the cable tie (1) is on the radius holder side (2), to avoid a collision with the other parts of the convertible top.

• Fasten the cable tie to its position with adhesive tape (1).

• Check that the retaining clips (1) on the hydraulic cylinder (2) are fitted correctly.
• Clip the hydraulic cylinder (2) into place on the corresponding ball-hubs.
