Replace gap seal on B-pillar

Preliminary work  .

• Refer to REMOVING THE REAR OUTER WINDOW RECESS FINISHER STRIP .

• Loosen the clips (1).

• Loosen the clips (1).

• Pull off the gap seal (1).

• Clean the bonding surfaces on the door with adhesive remover (sourcing reference: BMW Group parts sales).

• Replace gap seal.

  Parts:  Gap seal

• Correctly position the gap seal (1) on the door.
• Bond the gap seal  (1) as follows: 
  • Pull the liner (2) off bit by bit
  • Align the gap seal (1) and gently press it on
  • Check the position of the gap seal (1) and correct it if necessary
  • Use strong thumb pressure to press on the gap seal (1)
