Install the Front Light Electronics
NOTE:

- Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
- Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
- Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
- Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE COVER FOR THE CENTER ENGINE COMPARTMENT .
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT ORNAMENTAL GRILLE .
- Refer to PARTIALLY REMOVING THE FRONT SECTION OF THE FRONT WHEEL ARCH COVER .
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT BUMPER COVER .
- Refer to REMOVING HEADLIGHT .
- Loosen screws (1).
- Pull the Frontal Light Electronics (2) out of the headlight.
- Unlock and disconnect connector (1).
- Remove the Front Light Electronics (2).
- Check the seal (3) on the Frontal Light Electronics (2) for damage and replace if necessary.
- Connect plug (1) .
Check
- After locking: The plug connection must be checked for correct, firm fit.
Result
» The firm fit is not correct.
Measure
- Disconnect the connectors and check the locking mechanism for mechanical damage.
Measure
- Replace the damaged plug components.
Measure
- Fit, insert and lock the connector at a right angle to the direction of insertion.
Measure
- Check correct firm fit again.
- Position the front light electronics (2) in the headlight.
- Tighten the screws (1) .
