Perform chassis alignment check
Precondition
- Only wheel and tire combinations approved by BMW are attached to the vehicle. The tread depths on the left and right differ by a maximum of 2 mm.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Basically a wheel alignment must always be carried out with ride height measurement without vehicle load.

Carry out wheel alignment with vehicle load up to design position , if the technical prerequisites for a wheel alignment with ride height measurement without vehicle load are not fulfilled or if it is a vehicle involved in an accident.
Basically a wheel alignment must always be carried out with ride height measurement without vehicle load.

Before every toe adjustment and after replacing the electromechanical steering gear (EPS), a commissioning (initialization) of the electromechanical steering gear (EPS) must be performed.

Preliminary work
- Refer to PRELIMINARY WORK BEFORE WHEEL ALIGNMENT .
- Refer to SHIFTING VEHICLE INTO NORMAL POSITION .
- Refer to DEACTIVATING THE AIR SPRING SYSTEM .
- Refer to SHIFTING VEHICLE INTO DESIGN POSITION .
- Perform the introductory wheel alignment in accordance with equipment manufacturer's instructions.
- If necessary, adjust the front axle and the rear axle.
- Perform the final wheel alignment in accordance with equipment manufacturer's instructions.
- Save and print out test record.
