Replacing the foam cushion of the rear seat
Preliminary work

Replacing the seat occupancy mats of the rear seat (SA230)

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The seat occupancy mats are glued to the foam pad and cannot be dismantled non-destructively.
When replacing the seat occupancy mats, new ones must always be installed with a new foam pad.

- Replace the foam seat on the rear seat.
Parts: Foam cushion
- Place the seat occupancy mats (1) onto the foam cushion (2) and center it between the marks (arrows).
The seat occupancy mats (1) are only adhered later.
- Correctly maneuver the cables of the seat occupancy mats (1) in area (3) into the foam cushion (2).
- Turn the foam cushion (3) and, while doing so, ensure that the seat occupancy mat is not bent or kinked.NOTE: The description is provided only at one component. The procedure is the same for all other components.
- Remount the wiring harness from the previous foam cushion (3) and connect all the connectors (1) of the seat occupancy mats.
- Clip in the wiring harness on to the inserts (2) of the foam seats (3).
- Turn the foam seat.
NOTE: The description is provided only at one component. The procedure is the same for all other components.- Check whether all the cables are fitted correctly and none show a serious bend.
- Press the seat occupancy mat (1) downward in areas (2) and pull off the adhesive protective film on the rear in area (3).
- Press the seat occupancy mat (1) in the marked area (2) for about 3 seconds.
» The seat occupancy mat (1) is adhered.
- During a subsequent assembly of the seat surface cover, ensure that the seat occupancy mats are not damaged.

The heating mat is glued to the foam pad and cannot be dismantled non-destructively.
When replacing the heating mat, a new one must always be installed with a new foam pad.

- Position the heating mats (1) on the new foam cushion (2) and align them.
- Bond heating mats (1) with the new foam cushion (2).
