Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE TOP TRIM FOR THE REAR WINDOW FRAME .
- Refer to REMOVING THE TRIM FOR THE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE REAR WINDOW FRAMES .
- Refer to REMOVING THE POWER TAILGATE SWITCH .
- Refer to REMOVING TRUNK COMPARTMENT LIGHT ON TRUNK LID .
- Refer to REMOVING TAILGATE TRIM PANEL .
- Refer to REMOVING REAR SPOILER .
- Refer to REMOVING LOWERING PART OF REAR SPOILER .
- Refer to REMOVING THE WIPER ARM OF THE REAR WIPER .
- Refer to REMOVING REAR WINDOW WIPER MOTOR .
- Disconnect plug connection (1).
- Loosen screw (1).
- Disconnect plug connection (2).
- Unclip the cable out of the cable brackets (3).
- Loosen screw (1).
- Disconnect plug connection (2).
- Unclip the cable out of the cable brackets (3).
- Secure cable (1) to rear window with adhesive tape.
- Tape off body in area of piercing point with fabric adhesive tape.
- Push the thread (1) with the wire starter through the adhesive bead (2) along the line from the inside.
- Cut out the rear window with spider.
