Flush the rear brake and air bleed (after part exchange)
Precondition
- Bleeding the brake system after a part exchange in the brake system.

Before first working on the DSCi brake (integrated brake), the "DSCi" web-based training must be passed successfully.
The "DSCi" web-based training is started in the Learning Management System (TMSi).

Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE COVER OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AT THE REAR LEFT .
- Refer to CONNECTING THE BLEEDER UNIT FOR THE BRAKE FLUID .
- Refer to DISTINGUISHING THE CALIPERS FROM DIFFERENT MANUFACTURERS .
NOTE:
Description is for right component only. The procedure on the left side is identical.
- Begin with the flushing at the right rear.
- Connect the vent hose with the collecting vessel to the bleed valve (1) on rear right brake caliper.
- Open the bleed valve (1) and purge it until clear, bubble-free brake fluid emerges.
- Close bleed valve.TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Rear bleed valve Bleed valve tightening torque 10 Nm - Carry out the same procedure on the rear left wheel brake.
