Installing rear brake pads

• Install the brake pad (1)  in arrow direction.
• If necessary for brake pads with adhesive film, detach the protective film.

• Equipment version of the design clip: 
• Replace the design clip (1)  .

  Parts:  Design clip

  The design clip (1)  must be replaced after every disassembly.

• Attach the design clip (1)  and engage it in arrow direction with a screwdriver (2)  .
• Ensure that the retaining tab (3)  is engaged correctly.

• Remove the special tool (cable tie) 2 413 317 .
• Mount brake caliper (3)  .
• Replace screws (1)  .

  Parts:  Screws

• Tighten the screws (1)  , if applicable, hold against the hexagon head (2)  .

• Refer to INSTALLING REAR BRAKE PAD WEAR SENSOR .
• Refer to INSTALLING REAR WHEEL ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT .
• Refer to START-UP OR BEDDING IN BREAK-IN OF NEW BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS (REAR BRAKE) .
