72 11 033 Removing and installing/replacing front left or right safety belt
IMPORTANT:
If any one of the following criteria applies, the backrest frame. Refer to REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING BACKREST FRAME ON DRIVER'S SEAT
must be replaced!
- Activated end fitting pretensioner
- Undipped OUTER COVER as a result of an accident
- Torn OUTER COVER as a result of an accident
- Faulty clip connection on OUTER COVER as a result of an accident
Observe SAFETY REGULATIONS FOR HANDLING COMPONENTS OF AIRBAG SYSTEM .
Preliminary work needed:
- Refer to REMOVING REAR DOOR TRIM PANEL .
US version only :
Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Unfasten cable tie (2).
Loosen screws (3).
Tightening torque 72 11 1AZ .
Release screws (1) and remove idler bracket (2).
Tightening torque 72 11 4AZ .
Release screws (3) and remove safety belt (4).
Tightening torque 72 11 2AZ .
Installation note:
Coding of strap fitting (5) must be seated in door recess.
