Remove door sill trim panel
NOTE:
Bending of plastic components.
Application of too much force can lead to bending of plastic components.

- Place special tool directly beside the mounting clip.
- Continue unclipping the part without using the tool if possible.
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE MOUNT OF THE HOOD SEAL .
- Refer to REMOVING THE COVER ON THE SIDE SECTION .
- Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT SILL TRIM .
Precondition
Door is open.
NOTE:

- Remove the expanding rivet (1)

- Remove the expanding rivet (1)

- Loosen screws (1)
.
- Only perform on vehicles with a M Sport door sill trim panel:
- Release the detents (1)
at the wheel well through the bores (2)
with a suitable screwdriver.
- Loosen screws (1) .
- Release and feed out the door sill trim panel (2)
from the detents along the dotted line starting from the rear.
