51 46 050 Removing and installing/replacing top cover on tail panel

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR TRIM PANEL 

Release covers (1).

Loosen screws (1) and remove lashing eyes.

Tightening torque 51 47 1AZ .

Remove trim (2) upwards.

Installation note: 

Make sure edge protection for tailgate (2) is correctly seated on cover.
