51 24 105 Removing and installing/replacing tailgate lock

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove TRIM FOR REAR LID 

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Release screws (2) and remove tailgate lock (3).

Tightening torque 51 24 1AZ .

Installation note: 

Perform a function check of tailgate lock with the tailgate open.

Concluding tasks:

Adjust TAILGATE CATCH .
