Installing the support for instrument panel

• Install the support (3)  .
• Correctly position the heating and air-conditioning unit (2)  in the area of the screw connection (1)  on the support (3)  .
• Make sure that cable routing is correct and clip in all cable clips on the support.
• Tighten the screws (1)  .

  Nut M6 Replace nut	Tightening torque	8 Nm

• Connect connectors (1)  and lock.

• Install air duct (2)  .
• Tighten down screw (1).

• Tighten the nuts (1) on the left and right.

• Install retaining bracket (3)  .
• Tighten nuts (2)  .
• Tighten the screws (1).

• Pull the steering column spindle (1) out to the maximum length.
• Push universal joint (2)  onto the spindle (1) of the steering column.

  Brace the spindle (1) on the steering column.

• Replace the clamping bolt (3)  .

  Parts:  Clamping bolt

• Tighten the clamping bolt (3)  .

  Lower steering shaft to steering column
  Clamping bolt M8 Recut screw thread. Replace clamping bolt. No retorque permitted!	tightening torque	28 Nm

• Tighten the screw (1) on the firewall.

  Connect positive battery cable 

  Precondition 

  Ignition is switched off.

• Mount the positive battery cable (2)  and position correctly.
• Tighten nut (1).

  Battery terminal clamp with IBS positive battery terminal/negative battery terminal
