Removing and installing or replacing pump unit (GS7D36SG)
Use only the approved transmission oil.
Failure to comply with this instruction will result in serious damage to the twin-clutch gearbox.
Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove TWIN-CLUTCH GEARBOX .
- Remove CLUTCH .
Removal:
Release screws (1).
Remove oil separator (2).
Release screw (1).
Release combination sensor (2) from housing.
Disconnect connector (3).
Press lock together in area (1) and simultaneously detach connector.
Release screws (1) and (2).
Observe installation position and screw length.
Release screws (1).
Release oil pump with pressure pipe (2) and return line (3) from housing.
Replace flat seal (4).
During reinstallation O-ring remains on return line.
Installation:
Depending on version, there is a bore hole and a recess for the O-ring (1).
If the bore hole is present, attention must be paid to ensuring the O-ring (1) is in the right installation position and correctly seated behind the pump.
Parts : Replace flat seal (1).
The centering sleeves must not be damaged or crushed.
- Moisten O-ring with transmission oil
- Position pump in transmission using centering sleeves.
- Gently insert screws (1) with pressure pipe
- Press in return line (2) until it audibly snaps into place
- Screw in oil pump
- The tightening sequence from 1-8 is mandatory
Lock the combination sensor.
Make sure it engages in area (1).
Parts : Replace screw (1).
Lock connector (3).
Install the combination sensor (2)
Insert and tighten the screw (1).
Tightening torque 28 10 6AZ .
Parts : If the bracket (5) has loosened, replace the aluminium screw (6).
Tightening torque 28 10 11AZ .
Install oil separator (2).
Insert screws (1) and tighten.
Tightening torque 28 10 7AZ .
Required follow-up work:
- Install the CLUTCH .
- Install TWIN-CLUTCH GEARBOX .
