Remove and install/replace servomotor (complete) of rear axle differential, right
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove EXHAUST SYSTEM .
Removal:
Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Release screws (2) and place ground strap (3) to one side.
Remove servomotor.
NOTE:
The screws of the servomotor (1) can be reached via the openings in the rear axle support.
Installation:
Installation note:
Clean sealing surface (1) and apply Loctite 5970 sealing compound.
Installation note:
During installation, it is absolutely essential to make sure that guide (1) on servomotor is seated in groove (2) in rear axle differential.
Position servomotor on rear axle differential.
Screw on ground strap (3).
Tighten down screws (2).
Tightening torque 33 11 3AZ .
Lock plug connection (1).
Required follow-up work:
- Install EXHAUST SYSTEM .
- Replacement only: Perform START-UP .
