Replacing Pressure Regulator For Main Pressure (A5S 360R/390R, A4S 200R)

NOTE:
After completing work, top up ATF level. Check/top up fluid level in automatic transmission. See CHECKING/TOPPING UP FLUID LEVEL IN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (A5S 360R / 390R, A4S 200R / 310R)

Remove transmission sump. See REMOVING AND INSTALLING/SEALING OR REPLACING TRANSMISSION FLUID SUMP (A5S 360R / 390R, A4S 200R) .
Remove transmission fluid screen. See REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRANSMISSION SCREEN (A5S 360R / 390R, A4S 200R) .
Disconnect plug (1) from pressure regulator (2) for main pressure. See Fig 1 . Remove retaining spring (3). Remove pressure regulator (2) for main pressure. Upon installation: coat new pressure regulator (2) for main pressure with automatic transmission fluid.
