Removing and installing/sealing throttle body (S55 engine)

Attention! 

Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD PROTECTION) !

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Remove the CHARGE AIR DUCT ON THE THROTTLE VALVE .

Removal: 

Release screws (1) on throttle body (2).

Unlock tank ventilation line (1) and disconnect. Unlock connector (2) and remove.

Remove throttle body (3).

Installation note: 

Replace sealing ring (1) of throttle body (2).

Installation: 

Install throttle body (3).

Connect and lock tank ventilation line (1).

Tank ventilation line (1) must engage audibly.

Connect connector (2) and lock.

Connector (2) must snap audibly into place.

Tighten screw (1) on throttle body (2).

Tightening torque 13 54 1AZ .

Required follow-up work: 

• Install CHARGE AIR DUCT ON THE THROTTLE VALVE .
